The secret is out: Chef Gilbert Garza's Suze is one of Dallas' finest restaurants - Mark Stuertz - Dallas Observer, March 2001
Whether you're having a romantic dinner for two or just a relaxed meal out, Suze is the place to go in Dallas. Chef and co-owner Gilbert Garza's menu reflects his classical French training as well as years spent cooking Mediterranean and Northern Italian cusines. Menu standouts are the Pappardelle with Veal Bolognese and the Moroccan Delights, an appetizer platter of house-made falafel, hummus, artichoke pesto, oilves, and pita bread. - September 2002 - BON APPÉTIT Magazine - Annual Restaurant Issue - Suze is one of the best neighborhood restaurants in the West
The name Suze came from original owner Susie Priore, who opened this cozy restaurant in March 1999. With chef Gilbert Garza in the kitchen, Suze was named one of Guides' top 10 restaurants of '99. The following year, Ms. Priore sold out to chef Garza and his wife, Lisa, who wisely kept the name. Why mess with a successful formula?
In the last year, they've stayed the course, maintaining the restaurant's status as an intimate neighborhood favorite with very good food and service - a place beloved by the locals but worthy enough for foodie types to make the trip. - Teresa Gubbins - Dallas Morning News, December 2001
